KCI Divisions

  • Custom Manufacturing: In this ever changing world of new technologies and the desire to multi-task operations, let KCI help you make the equipment to make it happen. We have designed many innovative products over the years and would like to help you with your ideas or concepts.

  • Vineyard Division: KCI or Kingsburg Cultivator Inc., started in the vineyard manufacturing business over 45 years ago. Story has it they took a lawn mower head, cut away the shroud to expose the blade with an old Briggs & Stratton engine mounted to a 8N tractor, thus introducing the first front mount cane cutter.

  • Vegetable Division: KCI manufactures equipment with the utmost quality and pride and incorporates the latest technology in all of the vegetable harvesters we build. From our 3-point bulk loaders to our self propelled bulk or pack units to our tractor pull type pack harvesters.

  • Orchard Division: Our orchard division is operated by R. Allen Scheidt formerly of Scheidt Enterprises. Allen started Scheidt Enterprises in 1971 after graduating from FresnState College. Over the past 30 plus years, many new innovations have been introduced the almond, walnut, etc. harvesting methods. Allen and Scheidt Enterprises have been a leader and innovator in carts, conveyors and bank out systems.

KCPT12 Leaf Removal System

Our vineyard leafer can be used with or without any of our KCI cane cutters. The heavy duty standard unit is for double row and is three point rear mounted. This standard mount unit includes it's own heavy duty hydraulic pump, tank, valve and in and out cylinders that use your tractors dual remote valves. This unit can also be built totally self-contained using it's own hydraulic system to move the heads in and out. It is then possible to use your tractors hydraulic system to run your cane cutters.

Shown below is the indexing  option that allows the operator to tilt the head to the same angle as the canopy.

  • The leafer narrows to 66" and  extends out 24" on each side to  114" overall.
  • The heads are independent in and  out and independent on and off  allowing the operator to run the  right side, the left side, or both  sides at the same time.
